Who are your peeps?

Posted by: leighd on: February 27, 2008

My writer’s group met last Saturday, and they’re some of the most fun people I know to hang out with. Writing can beĀ  lonely because you spend hours – even days – staring at a screen or scribbling notes that you hope make sense. It’s one of those jobs you have to do alone. Lots [...]

Feasting with John 6:35

Posted by: leighd on: February 26, 2008

The Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35)
Here’s a question to start your week (though I’m not getting around to posting this until Tuesday instead of Monday) – how much do you hunger [...]

Friends in the Crowd

I’m learning [...]

Faith with … Philippians 3:13-14

Posted by: leighd on: February 4, 2008

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14)
I thought about this verse last night as I watched the Super Bowl (or, to be more accurate, as [...]

About Leigh

leighs-pix-red.jpg I'm a freelance writer/editor, Christian writer, and speaker for women's and girls' groups. I also teach upper elementary and middle school Sunday school classes and like finding ways to help girls realize how special they are in God's eyes. One of my favorite Scriptures for girls is Psalm 45:11 -- "The king is enthralled by your beauty. Honor him, for he is your Lord." That's something we all need to learn: that we're beautiful inside and out, just because God made us!
